PECAN LOVE TARTS  

This is a cookie that you will love. End the evening with a cup of coffee and cookies.

Preheat oven to 350F.
1/2 cup butter or margarine
2 tablespoons confectioners' sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup pecans, chopped fine

Mix butter, sugar, and vanilla and set aside. Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add flour mixture to creamed butter, then mix in nuts. Roll into 1-inch balls and drop onto greased cookie sheet. Lightly mash each ball slightly flat. Bake at 350F for 15 to 20 minutes. If desired, roll in powdered sugar when cooled.

Yield: 8 Tarts

SILY & CILY

After reading about a couple who used "shmily"  around their house to express their love for each other, I wanted something similar to share with my husband.My name is Celina (with the C sounding like an s) and his name is Steven, so I came up with "Sily" (Steven, I loveyou) and "Cily" (Celina, I love you...both pronounced "silly"). 
Throughout our marriage we have used our code of love in many ways... on cards, on the bathroom mirror, with magnets on the refrigerator, in the sand, and when I called our phone company to get our phone number changed I had them use 7459 as the last 4 digits...it's SILY.  Our phone number is on our checks, yet I'm constantly being asked for my phone number and when I point out to them it's already printed on there, the cashier always ask what  "SILY" means and I tell them.
When my husband is standing by my side, he smiles from head to toe, because he is then reminded how much I love him all over again.

My husband prints out I love you in different ways on 1"x3" slips of paper. For instance in the past, he has written I love you but behind the word love there was a heart or he wrote "I love you with every part of my body but especially my heart" and had a picture of a person on there. Sometimes he would just simply print out a big heart.But he doesn't just hand them to me. He leaves them in places for me to find, sometimes they would be on my pillow, in my car, sticking out of my textbooks, etc. Any time I found them and as I continue to find them a smile can't help but form across my face because I know just how much he loves me.

One night I cooked spaghetti for supper, and after I put the sauce on top of the spaghetti, I took noodles and spelled I love you on top of the sauce.

 Another one I did was I took little pieces of paper and and spelled out i l-o-v-e- y-o-u , each letter on a separate piece and then I put them on the things in the bathroom that he used each morning to get ready for work. So when he looked in the mirror he found i, when he got his toothbrush he found l, when he got out the toothpaste he found o, when he got out his brush he found v and so on until ha had the whole message.

My fiancee is a solider in the Army, Stationed in Fort Carson, Colorado.  As a result of the war in Iraq he was sent to Kuwait on Feb. 13th and remained there until July 4th (yes he came home on our independence day, Amen)  While he was there we never let the distance become an issue.  In one photograph that he had sent me he had written " I love you"  in letters that spanned 9' long and 3 ' wide in the sands of the Kuwait desert while he knelt down on one knee above the writing. (his friend photographed the image).  It is one of my favorite photographs and is blown up and framed inside my apartment. 

HIDDEN MESSAGES REVEALED

We had a rough spot, and were talking about splitting. So I needed to find a way to let him know that I still loved him. So I gathered some special items up, took them home and arranged them all.When he got home from work, I told him I was sorry for all of the things we had been going through, and that I didn't want it to end and to show him that I had made him a special surprise.
I blindfolded him and led him into the front room. There laying across our entire front room was a huge sign made out of rose petals that said "I'm sorry" (just petals placed that way on the floor) and a trail that started on from there.
The first stop along the trail was the fridge. He opened up the freezer portion and I had cleared everything into the other one so that all that was left was a box. He took it out and inside was a huge ice cream cake heart (his favorite) with red letters that said "I want to spend my life with you".
Then the trail led him to the bathroom, where I had used every single picture I could find of us to make a huge collage that spelled out "I love you" . Here he started crying, he was so surprised! But the trail didnt stop there (and by the way, double sided sticky tape doesn't come off the mirror easy!)
He followed the trail to our bedroom where on the bed he found a huge canvas... one that he had bought me awhile ago to paint a picture for him (I'm an oil painter) and I had never gotten around too.
I painted a huge scenery of mountains and a large waterfall and a large panther. Hidden in the painting are those special 3 words "i love you" hidden in the mountain, the panthers fur, and the water. By now i was crying hard as well.
Afterwards, we were able to sit down and talk things out and we are still together!!! The painting now hangs in our front room over the couch and the pictures have become a rather large scrapbook that sits on out coffee table.

PETAL LOVE POTION

This is a love potion I make up for my fiancée and myself.  We usually sip this in a bath together, or cuddled up on the couch watching our favourite movie.

1          bottle of sparkling wine (or non alcoholic)
12         fresh strawberries
1  t       strawberry leaves (fresh or dry)
1  t       sugar
1  t       borage leaves and flowers
            a squeeze of lemon juice

Combine the leaves/flowers, strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice in a small bowl. Add one small glass of sparkling wine.  Let mixture infuse for 2 hours.  Then skim leaves from your potion (leaving the strawberries).  Add the concentrated liquid into the remaining sparkling wine.  Pour into a glass.  Add an ice cube if you wish.

Drinking this will give you a warm and fuzzy feeling all over!
Oh, fyi:  you can also use starflower oil in place of flowers and leaves.

Enchanted Apple Spell

Pick a half green/half-red apple when the Moon has waned three days. Breath upon its green cheek, rub it with a scarlet cloth, saying:

And turn the head.

Kiss the red half, put it later in another's hand. Who holds it shall weaken, who eats it shall be yours as long as you can keep them.

Attract the Perfect Lover Spell

Timing: Perform on a Friday during the waxing moon.

Supplies:

• 6 rose petals
• 1 teaspoon of lavender
• 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
• a rose quartz
• 6-inch square of pink cloth
• green ribbon (floss or yarn will do)
• an inch of red ribbon
• needle and thread
• a penny

Place the petals, rose quartz, lavender, cinnamon, red ribbon, and penny in the center of the cloth square. Gather the edges of the fabric together and hold the pouch close to your heart. Then say:

Venus, Queen of love, divine
Bring the love to me that's mine.
Perfect, he (she) and perfect, me
Together we are meant to be.

Still holding the pouch against your heart, fill it with loving energy. Secure the pouch with the green ribbon to seal the spell. Carry it on your person and sleep with it under your pillow. When the lover comes to you, bury the pouch under a tree.

Star of Love Spell

Timing: This spell is best done on the first Friday of the New Moon. Repeat this spell each month until true love finds you.

Supplies:

• a sheet of paper
• a pen
• rose petals
• jasmine incense
• a pink or red candle
• optional: a rose quartz, ruby, or garnet

Light the candle and incense, relaxing completely. Think of all the qualities you desire in a lover, such as faithfulness and honesty. Write them down, being specific. Take as much time as you need, making sure every quality you desire is written down in a clear way. You get what you ask for!

When you are finished with the list, go outside, leaving the candle and incense burning in safe containers. Look up to the sky and find a star that attracts you or appeals to you the most. Holding the rose petals and gems in your hands,visualize the starlight beaming down to fill your hands, infusing the petals with power. Say:

Go back inside and sprinkle the rose petals around the base of the candle, and place the gems in front of it. Picture yourself as a bright flame attracting the person who is best for you. Then call softly:

• 1 small fire proof bowl
• 1 teaspoon rose petals (for love)

• a few drops of alcohol
• optional: 1 drop of your own blood

Directions:

In the small bowl, mix the rose petals, marigold petals, and vervain. Beside the bowl, place the dressed red candle, to bring love to yourself. Hold the piece of paper, with your name on it...imagine it is your heart....happy, safe, balanced, and filled with passion for life. You may put a drop of your own blood onto the piece of paper (but it is not required). Place the paper in the bowl with the herbs. Add a few drops of alcohol and set aflame
